Annual Women’s Retreat

Register May 7, 2017 4:00 pm May 7, 2017 12:00 pm America/New_York Annual Women’s Retreat

The annual tradition continues…. this time in the joining of love(Eros) and soul(Psyche) on the path of discernment with the timeless and engaging myth of Eros and Psyche….. We are pleased to invite you to join us – with Carol Jacobs – for our annual Women’s Retreat at Shalom House in Montpelier, Virginia.   We will be studying the tale of Eros and Psyche as a portal into the exploration or our inner world.  The myth guides us onto a path of discernment for our own unique place in the universe.  It presents us with the tasks  each of us needs to address in order to move into a deeper level of integration and individuation.  The joining of Eros(love) and Psyche (soul) brings forth this new life. Based on the foundational understandings of Carl Jung, Marion Woodman and the ensuing BodySoul Rhythms® work of Marion Woodman, Mary Hamilton, and Ann Skinner, this retreat provides a safe container for self-discovery and creative expression.  We will be tending to our dreams, teaching and dialogue, our bodies, our voices, and visual expression. The retreat begins on Sunday, May 7 at 4:00 PM and ends on May 12, following a 12:00 lunch. Facilitator Carol A. Jacobs, MSW, LCSW, is a psychotherapist with 28 years of experience has a private practice in Ashland, Virginia. Carol is a Trustee of the Marion Woodman Foundation Board and has completed the BodySoul Rhythms Leadership Training Program with Marion Woodman, Mary Hamilton, and Ann Skinner. She is also a faculty member for the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC, providing trainings for professionals and for victims of trauma both nationally and internationally, including work in Macedonia and Kosovo. She also serves on the Chrysalis Institute Faculty.
